Our guest speaker is William (Bill) Carrell II. Bill received his B.A. in History from Davidson College, with some of the course work completed at the University of Cambridge. He obtained his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. He now practices in Louisville, concentrating in civil litigation. Bill has authored a book on his ancestor, Joseph Bridger, and has written several historical and genealogical articles for publication. He is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, First Families of Virginia, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Maine, and Georgia; Saint Nicholas Society; Colonial Governors, where he is Honorary Governor General; Colonial Wars, where he is Honorary Governor of the Kentucky Society; Order of the Crown of Charlemagne; New York Society of the Cincinnati – currently serving as Vice President and many other affiliations. His topic of his presentation is titled: The British Empire and the Genesis of the United States.
