The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Replica is stopping off for the day Saturday, May 15 in Rushville, IN. It is the 100th anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown DAR Program with American Legion , 223 E. Third St., Rushville, IN. The event is free and open to the public. Muster time for the color guard is 9:30 am and the program begins at 10:00 am.
Since the American Legion is participating this is considered a Partners in Patriotism event. Patty Caudill, Regent, Rushville Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, in Rushville, IN is assisting on the DAR sponsored event. The “A Call To Honor Tomb of the Unknown Soldier” is an assembled replica 50% size of the original. The exhibit is being presented by The Exchange Club of Rome, GA.
There will be an opening ceremony which will consist of wreath laying.
We would like to extend an invitation to many SAR members and color guard members available to be a part of the opening ceremony/wreath laying. Let us know of any chapter participation other than the Continental Chapter SAR- Indiana.
